Visiting the Dental Practice (updated 16th November 2022) – New Update 2023
We are a small group of passionate dental professionals who have been writing for the public for over 10 years. Our mission is to provide accurate, up-to-date oral health information so people can make informed decisions about their dental care.
We know that excellent oral health is essential for overall health and well-being, and we are committed to helping our readers achieve and maintain healthy teeth and gums.
You are likely to find that your dental visit is a different experience, prior to Covid.
- Infection prevention and control measures, such a social distancing and wearing face coverings are staying in place for all healthcare settings across the UK. This includes dental practices.
- You may be asked not to arrive early for your appointment and to attend alone.
- You will be asked to use anti-bacterial hand gel when you arrive and when you leave the practice.
This will help to protect everyone, including vulnerable patients and members of the dental team. You can be assured that it is safe for you to attend your dental practice.
This page includes advice on how you can access dental care, treatment and advice now that dental practices are open as normal.
