Dental Hygiene by Port Washington Dental
In our office we take a comprehensive approach to Dental Hygiene, we recognize that maintaining strong healthy teeth and gums is part of an overall regimen to ensure total well-being.
An estimated 75% of Americans currently have some form of Gum Disease and as many as 90% of adults will develop Gum Disease during their lifetime. Untreated gum problems have been linked to heart and lung disease, stroke and diabetic complications.
Professional Dental Hygiene treatments insure healthy, vibrant, fresh, teeth and gums and lay a base for lifelong health. Our Dental Hygiene team at Port Washington Dental is here to help you maintain excellent dental health. We will individualize a program with tools and techniques that work best for you.
Daily removal of bacterial plaque from the surfaces of the teeth is accomplished by the use of a variety of manual and/or automatic tooth brushes. Then, utilizing interdental cleaners for in between the teeth (areas where a brush cannot reach) insures a healthy oral environment. We will individualize a program with tools and techniques that work easily and best for you. Additionally, we specialize in the care and maintenance of implants, crowns/ bridges, veneer/lumineers, and removable partials/dentures.
